I have been modeling since I was 13 years old and began designing clothing seriously about 1.5 years ago. I have produced 3 lines of clothing which have been shown 5 times over the last year as well as rented for magazine and fashion shoots. I was honored to with Emerging Designer of the Year 2019 during Charlotte Fashion Week as well as having been invited to be a featured designer at an upcoming show in Columbia SC. Designing and constructing clothing has become my passion and I am so grateful to all of the people that have consistently and positively supported me along this journey.
The fashion industry, both modeling and designing, has allowed me to network and build life long relationships with Producers, Stylists, Photographers, Editors, Designers, Agents, Make-up and Hair Artists, and Influencers. Each have taken time to accept me into their circles and teach me a bit of their craft. By aggressively pursuing my future, I hope to make everyone proud in the North and South Carolina Fashion industry.
The University of the Arts programs in the UK are among the best in the world. I aspire to one day attend the Fashion Design program at Central Saint Martins. To do this, I have to take Foundation level courses through other programs that feed into the upper level Central Saint Martins program. The Arts University Bournesmouth is offering a summer program that introduces students the portfolio, design, and production expectations of University of the Arts and Central Saint Martin. I would like to attend this summer program to best position myself for not only my future application to these esteemed programs, but also to better prepare me for my upcoming freshman year in Fashion Design. I have been accepted to several US-based bachelor degree programs and am currently awaiting the decision of a few others.
The amount of this Go Fund Me is to cover the cost of tuition (approximately $3,775), travel costs (approximately $1,400), non-covered food and incidental expenses (approximately $500) and the remainder being for program materials including fabrics, notions and specialty materials and any currently unknown costs.
