Faron Needs a Power Chair

Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm raising funds for my good friend Faron Hambler.

Faron is from Kelly Lake and has spent his entire life in the bush. I know him from archaeological work. He has taught me so much as we have wandered the mountains for different projects. Faron has always been incredibly generous with his knowledge and time.

Early this year Faron had to have a double leg amputation due to diabetic complications. He lives a really healthy lifestyle, but sometimes these things happen to good people. His home is one of the old homesteads at Kelly Lake - his family's old log cabin. He has not been able to leave the hospital and secondary care facility for months now. His home is not accessible for him. One of the biggest barriers for Faron is getting around. He is trying to save funds up for a motorized scooter. They run about $5000, plus expenses for delivery, etc.

I've set the amount at $8000, because I'd love to have a bit extra to help with a ramp or other simple pieces to help make a place for Faron to go home to. He has worked incredibly hard his entire life, and has many years ahead of him in this new phase. I am hoping is generosity comes back to him when he now needs it.
