My name is Catherine Bapoo
My sister 's name Carole Bapoo was born on April 1st 1986 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. She immigrated to the USA in January 2005 on a full basketball scholarship to Cloud County Community College, Concordia Kansas. She then transferred to Howard College in Big Spring TX where she graduated with an Associate degree of Science. In 2009 she graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Nursing from Houston Baptist University, Houston TX. She has been working at Walgreens as a Senior Pharmacy technician for the past 8 years while continuing with her education.
After the passing of our mom on Wednesday September 5th, she started having chest pains on Saturday September 8th and drove herself to West Houston Medical Center ER. She was airlifted to Memorial Herman Hospital and had an open heart surgery. Doctors couldn’t control the bleeding, and she never woke up from the surgery. She was pronounced dead on Sunday September 9th.
My sister was a former member of the Cameroonian women's basketball team, an active member of Saturday basketball club association, Cercle du Dimanche( CDD),a member of Notre Dame Choir. She was also one of the founders and secretary of Mbog Bassa'a.
A fervent Catholic, Carole is survived by a daughter Jordone, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and her father.
Please help us raise funds as two deaths in our family is a big burden as far as funerals arrangements go. Carole was physically, morally and financially involved in her community. My sister was a special, kind, compassionate and lovable person; your generous contributions will help my family give Carole a memorable farewell she deserves.
