Amado Santos funeral and expenses for family

Update: I've spoken to Erika Santos about the cost of the funeral and my original estimate was not accurate. The cost of the plot, service, and casket is going to be more than 20k, but some is being covered by the community. We are hoping we can reach close to the amount needed to have the funeral soon. Thank you so much for those who have donated and shared so far. Please keep sharing so we can give this hero the burial he deserves so he may rest in peace.

Hi my name is Veronica, I am starting this for a young man who died before his time To help his family put him to rest and cover any financial Issues that may arise. Anybody that knew Amado knew him as Nacho. He was the kind of guy that brought a community together literally, he was a staple for the very heart ofother community around him. He's known for being kind hearted, funny, loving, willing to give the shirt off of his back and the food off this plate if somebody was in need of it. And I could not say enough great things about this man. On January 16th, Martin Luther King day, Nacho was working at the 76 gas station on 102nd Ave and NE Glisan. While he was sitting talking to my mother, A car drove up and a masked man got out and started asking him where he was from getting more and more agitated the more he responded that he was from here. The young man decided to shoot Nacho multiple times, and then turned trying to fire at my mother, But nacho was not just a good guy he was a hero and with his last Burst of adrenaline he pushed my mom out of harm's way and took the bullet meant for her in his arm. Now the entire community is in mourning for the loss of such a wonderful loving soul. Family is ok, and anything that is donated will go directly to his family. God-bless you and thank you.
