Family Support for Samaya Cameron
Donation protected
The Rochester Prep community is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our Class of 2020 alumni, Samaya Cameron. We are asking for the community's support in raising money for Samaya's family.
Samaya Cameron, passed away from complications due to her chronic illness and a comorbid, recent illness. Samaya entered Rochester Prep in her 5th grade year in 2012, and was a true scholar in every definition of the word. She was top of her class academically, a consistent model for her peers, a great friend, and a student that teachers loved. She was a gentle soul, often reserved, but so genuine and kind to peers and teachers despite her ongoing battle with a chronic illness. Nothing stopped her. This Fall, she entered her freshman year at Buffalo State College, eager for independence and set up to change history with her intellect and character. She had the world ahead of her, and there are no words to express the sadness we absorb in hearing of her passing. Samaya and her family have deep connections within the Rochester Prep community. Samaya is survived by a loving family in Rochester, including her sister, Maya, who is a student at Brooks MS.
Any financial support you are able to provide for Samaya's family is deeply appreciated and will go a long way.
Sincerely,
Rochester Prep Community
