On the morning of Sunday, July 26th, suddenly, we lost Steve Kamberos.
Steve was a husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to so, so many. No words can express the devastation of such a loss of a spirit like his-"Gregarious Greek" is an understatement. To precipitously lose a life that had so much more to give, is cruel and indescribable. Building, tinkering, and designing were his forte, and he started his own company based on such a platform. He also was one of the most sensitive and caring spirits, and he wore his heart on his sleeve. A lover of nostalgia and preservation of family were always his passion. His devotion to his partner, Christine over the years, was admired by all. And his enthusiasm for music, animals, and politics was unmatched. Many of you have enjoyed concerts with Steve, and share his joie de vivre.
Unfortunately, Christine, his wife of 15 years, and partner for so many more, and his boys Gus (12), Lou (8), and Ato (6), will be meeting many challenges for life going forward with his untimely passing. Christine's hopes are to continue to put healthy meals on the table, and make sure that the boys are clothed, especially their school uniforms, as they continue to grow like weeds. Steve would have been so proud to watch them accomplish everything that he encouraged them to do, from Boy Scout Derby , Greek Dancing at St. Nick's and GOYA, to catching the biggest fish! This truly is a difficult time for all: we can all imagine Steve scowling at every new tweet coming out of the White House, with a quick rebuttal! But please, if you could find it in your hearts, anything you can contribute will be sincerely appreciated by the Kamberos Family.
