Family of 5 left homeless after windstorm

Donation protected
During the wind storm that hit Vancouver Island on Decemeber 20th 2018 many people were affected in one way or another. Some people were stranded without a way to get home, others lost power to their homes and some people actually lost their homes. One Island familily in particular saw a tree fall directly into their home. The family of 5 (2 parents, 2 sons and an adopted daughter) were not injured but the damage to the house was so severe that the family can not return home and have been told that nothing will be salvageable due to water damage and danger of the tree collapsing even further into the home. Their home will have to be completely rebuilt and there is no timeline for the rebuild to be finished. There was no insurance coverage for this type of natural disaster and the family has only been provided 1 week at a hotel and after that they will be completely homeless. The family also has a new puppy and kitten that will need temporary homes as they are not allowed at the hotel.

If there is anyway you can help this family who desperately deserve and need our help please find it in your heart to donate whatever amount you can and share this message with your friends and family. Donations will go towards rent or a hotel for however many months it will take to strip down and rebuild the house, clothing, furniture, food, necessities.
