In 2023 from Colombia to Orlando with dreams in their hearts. Jeffrey & Erika with daughters Samantha & Isabella proved that dedication can indeed build dreams. They bought a van and built their family Pet Grooming business.

Building a future ….

One day at a time ….

An opportunity for additional work let them to St. Johns County. Erika's mother Patricia, who was visiting, had long dreamed of seeing St. Augustine.

The family planned to turn their work trip into a beautiful day in historic St. Augustine. It was also the first visit for their daughters, Samantha, 12, and Isabella, 9 along with their Abuela Patricia.

However, an unforeseen tragedy struck at approximately 8:30 am…

A 20 year old driver veered in their lane on SR 16 in St Augustine, near the Murabella Community entrance. Both daughters were taking a nap in the van at the time of the accident. The vehicle hit the driver side of the van and caused it to flip several times, along with severe injuries and tragic death to Patricia.

Patricia passed away on impact while Erika and my husband raced to save her daughters & Jeffrey.

Isabella was airlifted with life threatening injuries to her brain and liver as well a broken arm and clavicle.

Jeffrey sustained serious injuries to his left leg, a broken back, lacerations on his torso and required multiple blood transfusions.

Patricia leaves behind her 4 daughters, husband Fernando and of course her grandchildren. Her love and energy will leave a legacy for generations.

Swelling in Isabella's Brain and Liver reduced as she recovered thanks to her incredible doctors and nurses.

Support their resilient family as a community during their recovery from a traumatic incident. As they fight to hold on to their dreams.

We can't give them back what they lost, but we can give them a chance to build a better life.

With no savings, vehicle or ability to work their family faces eviction and they need your help.

Jeffrey has been transferred to long term rehab in Jax while his family returns to Orlando.

Isabella lost over 10 lbs in the Hospital but has returned home as they continue to monitor her liver function.

Our family was lucky to be there at the accident to help. Our new bond is very special and our family is grateful for every smile we can give them.

Un día a la vez ….

Una oportunidad de trabajo adicional les permitió ir al condado de St. Johns. Patricia, la madre de Erika, que estaba de visita, soñaba desde hacía mucho tiempo con ver a San Agustín.

La familia planeó convertir su viaje de trabajo en un hermoso día en el histórico San Agustín. También fue la primera visita de sus hijas Samantha, de 12 años, e Isabella, de 9, junto con su abuela Patricia.

Sin embargo, una tragedia imprevista ocurrió aproximadamente a las 8:30 am...

Un conductor de 20 años se desvió de su carril en la SR 16 en St Augustine, cerca de la entrada de la comunidad Murabella. Ambas hijas estaban durmiendo una siesta en la furgoneta en el momento del accidente. El vehículo golpeó el lado del conductor de la camioneta y provocó que ésta volcara varias veces, además de heridas graves y la muerte trágica de Patricia.

Patricia falleció por el impacto mientras Erika y mi esposo corrían para salvar a sus hijas y a Jeffrey.

Isabella fue trasladada en avión con lesiones potencialmente mortales en el cerebro y el hígado, así como con un brazo y una clavícula rotos.

Jeffrey sufrió heridas graves en la pierna izquierda, fractura de espalda, laceraciones en el torso y requirió múltiples transfusiones de sangre.

Patricia deja atrás a sus 4 hijas, su esposo Fernando y por supuesto a sus nietos. Su amor y energía dejarán un legado para generaciones.

La hinchazón en el cerebro y el hígado de Isabella se redujo a medida que se recuperaba gracias a sus increíbles médicos y enfermeras.

Apoye a su familia resiliente como comunidad durante su recuperación de un incidente traumático. Mientras luchan por aferrarse a sus sueños.

No podemos devolverles lo que perdieron, pero podemos darles la oportunidad de construir una vida mejor.

Sin ahorros, vehículo o capacidad para trabajar, su familia se enfrenta al desalojo y necesitan su ayuda.

Jeffrey ha sido transferido a rehabilitación a largo plazo en Jax mientras su familia regresa a Orlando.

Isabella perdió más de 10 libras en el hospital, pero regresó a casa mientras continúan monitoreando su función hepática.

Nuestra familia tuvo suerte de estar presente en el accidente para ayudar. Nuestro nuevo vínculo es muy especial y nuestra familia agradece cada sonrisa que podemos brindarles.
