Family in need of housing!! Please help

Hi I'm Jordan, and I just want to start this off by saying that I'm not one to usually ask for help but at this point I don't know what to do anymore. 
About 6 months ago, my wife, son and I started renting a 2 bed, 1 bathroom house in corning with the intent and plan to possibly buy in the near future. I work the graveyard/Noc shift at enloe medical center in Chico, and my wife hasn't been employed since the birth of my now almost 3 year old.  The house we moved into  needed alot of work to be livable and I dove right into it before we could move in. I tore layers of carpets and laminate out. Repaired dry wall, laid new flooring, and painted. Installed new lights, including a chandelier, a new toilet , new outlets , new light switches and doornobs . All was going well untill the beginning of this month. On the 1st of October I left my house for red bluff to go to home depot to get a few more things for the house and halfway there I received a call from my wife. She said we got a 30 day eviction notice in the mail from the landlord saying we had 30 days to vacate the house so they could do renovation's! I paid all my bills on time Everytime and never been short. That was a hit below the belt forsure..I spent any money I had saved on this house plus just about everything I made along the way.  How the heck am I suppose to find adaquet housing for my family and self with no rental history , bad credit and barely a few dollars? On top of all that how can I make rent first and last, plus deposit, plus pet rent, and still get gas to get to and from work and food to feed my family? Please help if you can, I can't let my family be homeless. I just can't, and the 30th is just around the corner
