Family Loses Home to 100yr Old Tree
Donation protected
My names Brandye and on July 6th a 100 year old oak tree fell through our family home. We heard a loud crack, all the lights went out, and everything started falling in on us.
My husband and oldest child were not home, but our other 2 children and I were. My children and I were able to safely get out, but the house did not survive.
We are currently living in hotels and trying to navigate through the process of moving forward without our home.
We have had some assistance from family, friends and some organizations. However, this is not a quick and easy fix.
Right now our biggest concerns and needs are paying for meals and gas. We are trying to keep as much of life as close to normal as possible for work and the kids but that's hard to do when we are commuting 45 min or more for work and do not having a kitchen to cook meals.
