Families of East Valley Baseball for Joanna Fritz

Being one of the head coaches of 82 teams with an average of 12 players per team, I seen an opportunity to help with a worthwhile cause.
Joanna Fritz, along with her husband Mike, own the competitive youth baseball league East Valley Baseball. I recently found out that Joanna Fritz, wife and partner of the league, has been diagnosed with Graves’ Disease and as a result she only has 20% of her vision. I was told that the surgery for this is very new and thus very expensive. Their portion of their co-insurance is $50,000. She also has ongoing doctor visits and a treatment plan including preparing her body and blood for the surgery.
East Valley Baseball is a family owned business. Like so many small businesses, they have been greatly impacted by the pandemic shutdowns. The league is the only league in Chandler that is operating. It has been a source of normalcy for all the young players and their families to continue their dream of playing competitive baseball while the other leagues have canceled their Fall seasons.
As with most businesses, they had to shutdown the Spring baseball season that not only affected their livelihoods but also affecting the players and families of 82 baseball teams that make up the league.
If every team raised a very attainable goal of contributing $610 each, we can reach this goal quickly. We suggest that you have your own fundraisers to help raise the money. 100% of the money will go to the Fritz family to help with their medical bills.
As of 10/13/20, in only one week, generous friends of Joanna have contributed more than $2800.
