Familial ALS The Andrews Story

Donation protected
Some families hand down treasures. The Andrews family has many good things, but we also have some things that we wish weren’t part of our family story. We recently learned of a familial ALS gene mutation in our family that has caused many of our relatives to pass away. Our patriarch Percy Andrews his brother Frank Andrews , Percy son John Andrews and his daughter Irene Andrews all fell victim to the gene mutation of ALS. Present day John’s grandson Ethan Andrews has recently discovered that he has the familial  gene mutation  of ALS. It's important to realize that members of the Andrews family are strong and stubborn. The strength and strong will  that Ethan and his family have will propel them forward. We are confident of this. Ethan is currently in enrolled in a trial program at mass general in Boston Massachusetts. Ethan is a 29-years old. He and his family have lived in the Bennington area their entire life. He has a wonderful wife Meagan, and a nine-year-old beautiful daughter Layla, as well as a newborn baby girl Willow. While Ethan is fortunate to have a loving and supporting family and a group of friends and community members around him, their are areas of need that we are asking for help with. Ethan is currently using a wheelchair to get around, so he is unable to work outside of his home. Meagan  will be returning to work to try and support the financial needs of the family in the coming weeks and months. The Andrews family could benefit from financial donations to help cover the needs of retrofitting their home to accommodate the wheelchair, and other household expenses for this young family. Please don’t feel badly for Ethan he is not comfortable with sympathy. He and his family have hope’s  that the trial he’s in will slow the progression of this devastating disease. Ethan plans on spending time with his family and girls while enjoying the outdoors as much as possible and living life to the fullest . Any and all support would be greatly appreciated and we ask that even if you can’t financially donate please spread the awareness of this devastating disease. Prayers and love are always welcome thank you and God Bless.
