Hello, friends and family,
My husband, Josiah, and I are humbly asking for your help as we take what is likely our final opportunity to start a family.
For more than five years, we have walked the painful road of infertility. Our desire to become parents has never wavered, but this journey has been emotionally exhausting and filled with setbacks. Asking for help does not come easily, but we believe God places people in community so that we can support one another in moments like this. This is our moment of need.
I have experienced two ectopic pregnancies—one in each fallopian tube—which resulted in the loss of one tube and a recent surgery in October to attempt to reopen the other. Unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful. After exhausting all other medical options, in vitro fertilization (IVF) is now our only remaining path to having a biological child.
My longing for a family runs deep. I spent much of my childhood in foster care and lost both of my parents at a young age—my father when I was 13 and my mother when I was 21. Through every hardship, the dream of building a loving family of my own carried me forward. Today, that dream feels both incredibly close and painfully out of reach.
Josiah was medically retired from the U.S. Navy in 2019. We met and married in 2020 and have since put down roots in Texas. He is currently working full-time at Fort Hood, helping service members transition to civilian life, while also pursuing his Doctorate in History. I am a homemaker and small business owner, working to grow my online ornamental houseplant business. Every bit of extra income we have has gone toward preparing for IVF, but the total cost—medications, procedures, labs, ultrasounds, travel, and gas—adds up quickly and feels overwhelming.
We are approaching IVF with strong biblical convictions. Believing that life begins at conception, we plan to fertilize only two eggs and intend to implant both embryos. We will not discard or genetically test embryos. This will be a fresh Day 5 transfer, and we are prayerfully hoping to begin treatment in mid-January 2026.
We are deeply grateful to share my Mother and Father in law have generously offered to match every dollar given, up to $5,000. This extraordinary gift has encouraged us more than we can express and makes every contribution—even the smallest one—twice as impactful.
If you feel led to give, please know that your support is helping us pursue something profoundly meaningful: the chance to welcome a child into our family. We trust God completely, whatever the outcome, but we are stepping forward in faith and hope.
We will share updates and milestones as we move forward, both here and on Facebook. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for praying for us, and for standing with us during this season. If you are able, please consider helping us reach our goal and make this Christmas miracle possible.
With lots of heartfelt gratitude and blessings to you and your family!
