Fairfield 9th - 12th grade HS Student Football

The Fairfield student football players in 9th through 12th grade along with all the high schools in Connecticut are the only football players in the country who have been prohibited from playing football this fall and without a plan to play football at any time during this school year. We, the student-athletes have been working for 10 years to play football this year and we refuse to yield to this adversity.  So along with other teams throughout Connecticut, we have organized a private football league for 9th - 12th graders that is scheduled to start on October 10th.

However, we face many challenges before we get on the field:
1. We need to purchase football equipment at a cost of approximately $750 per player (over 100 players).
2. We have to purchase insurance for each player and coach.
3. We need to pay for referees, trainers, medical personnel & COVID mitigation.
4. We need to pay for many other associated expenses (field space, travel, etc)

In addition to asking you to help us compete on the field this year, we have two related causes that are very close to our hearts and we intend to use 20% of the proceeds to fund the following two worthwhile causes:
1. Subsidize some of our fellow players from surrounding cities, who need our financial help so that they too have the opportunity to compete on the football field this fall. We believe football deserves to be played by every student-athlete regardless of one's ability to pay.
2. Establish an Annual Football scholarship in the memory of Jake Panus, our football brother who tragically lost his life last month. This award will be given annually to the Fairfield football player who bests exemplifies Jake Panus' love of his teammates and his joy of playing football.

So please help out if you can. It will make a very positive addition to these students' lives in this trying time.  Thank you
