Emancipation : Action de s'affranchir d'un lien, d'une entrave, d'un état de dépendance, d'une domination, d'un préjugé.
Les produits seront imaginés, développés et cousus par moi-même, Fabien ZOU.
Emancipation est le résultat d’un état d’esprit représentant un total détachement face à la peur de prendre des risques et une motivation à se réaliser.
Ce projet représentera à la fois l’élégance et l’urbanisme. Des inspirations tantôt nobles tantôt urbaines contribueront à la création de cette collection.
Emancipation, suit ma première collection appelée « Essai ». Cette fois-ci, je compte présenter des pièces d’une qualité supérieure à la collection précédente, afin d’établir l’image de marque que je souhaite.
Emancipation représente l’évolution d’un habitant d’une petite localité, des années 2000 à nos jours, se révélant à lui-même et ne craignant plus de prendre des risques. Cette confiance face aux prises de risques sera symbolisée par des pièces de certaines coupes et matériaux, peut-être non conformes aux standards stylistiques du quotidien, mais ayant pour but d’être portées sans craintes des regards pleins de jugements.
Ce projet reflète un parcours personnel, c’est-à-dire que je vais mettre en avant les tendances, formes, textiles, chaussures, couleurs, lieux et cultures qui ont eu le plus gros impact sur mon adolescence.
« Je veux faire de cette collection une œuvre d’art exprimant une personnalité : celle de quelqu'un qui se donne les moyens de réaliser ses desseins. Tout le monde en est capable et c’est ce que je veux prouver. »
Ce projet est issu de mon parcours personnel, il s'adresse à chacun de vous. J'espère donc pouvoir compter sur votre soutien pour le mener à bien et avoir la chance et le plaisir de vous le présenter.

Emancipation: The fact or process of being set free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberation.
In this collection, the garments will be carefully thought about, designed, developed and sewn by myself, Fabien ZOU.
Emancipation is the result of a state of mind, representing a complete release of any fear to take risks and a motivation to come true.
Elegance and urbanism are two themes that you should expect to see through my garments, using juxtaposing fabrics. Emancipation is following my first collection called ‘Essai’. With this collection, my aim is to establish my distinctive brand image whilst at the same time challenging quality of the garments produced.
The “Emancipation” collection represents the evolution of a small city kid’s personal journey from the 2000s until present day. Now revealing himself by no longer being scared of taking risks. This new-found confidence of risk taking will be symbolised in the shapes and/or the fabric choices, to not conform to the daily fashion standards but aiming to be worn every day without fearing to be judged.
Fabrics, shoes, colour palettes, cultures and a wide variety of other factors impacted me in my teenage years and I would like to pay homage to those life shaping elements.
“I want this collection to be a masterpiece expressing a personality which will be brought to life. Everybody is capable of fulfilling their desires and that is what I want to prove.”
Why should you support me?
The fundraising will help “small city kid” to found the basis of the brand which then will be open to sales for the next collections.
EMANCIPATION needs the purchase of specific fabrics in order to represents my journey at its best. The collection will be presented in video and photographs formats which will needs workforce, to know: models, make-up artists, stylists, videographers, photographers.
This project is reflecting my personal journey, but is also relevant to each of you. I hope that I can count on your support to lead “Emancipation” and have the pleasure to show it to you.
