This is the story of my Big Brother. My Hero. My Friend. He has the kindest, gentlest heart on this planet. He is an amazing father, husband, brother, uncle, friend, boss and mentor. He has spent his life leading young people to better futures, guiding with care, sometimes with tough love but always leading by example.
Seth Diamond is a man that deserves to live a long healthy life. Unfortunately Cancer is trying to take that away from him. He has been battling misdiagnosed for years and diagnosed for the past 10 months. He hasn't been able to catch a single break as Difused Large B Cell Lymphoma spreads through his body and tears at his soul. He keeps fighting. Fighting to stay with his amazing wife. Fighting to stay with his beautiful children. Fighting to stay with people like me that adore and worship him.
MD Anderson gave up on him. They sent him home saying he wasn't "healthy" enough for the trial drugs that show such promise in getting him to remission so he can have a stem cell transplant. We CAN get a new drug, it's FDA approved and his oncologist at Oschner has high hopes for it, but it's not approved for his particular Cancer. That being the case, insurance won't cover it. The cost is overwhelming at about $12,000 a month. It shows great results in 2 other forms of Lymphoma AND in stages 1 and 2 of his type of Lymphoma. Please help me get just one months worth, just enough to see if it will work. We've exhausted all resources, tried every Chemo, battled every side effect and cannot catch a break.
Please, help me. Whether you know him as Mr. Seth, Seth, Michael, Mike, Big Guy, Daddy Seth, Mr. Diamond, Boss, Friend or Mentor now is the time to return the kindness and generosity he has shown to so many. Help me save my hero because I cannot imagine a world without him. He is my Big Brother and I need him in this world.
