Justice for Malik Sheets

In the early morning hours of June 18, 2020, Malik Sheets suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and passed away at the age of 20.  An amazing member of the community, Malik's life was tragically cut short due to a senseless act of violence.  Malik was an intelligent, respectful, caring, enthusiastic, light-hearted and fun-loving soul involved in many activities. Malik had just completed his Sophomore year at the University of Iowa and was home for the summer.  He was like a brother to many and could make anybody laugh without effort.  His presence will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

Currently, there are no leads on the shooter and while the family has covered the funeral and memorial expenses, they are looking to create a fund for an award to be given with information leading to an arrest.  Malik's father, Carlos and mother, Ronica will be responsible for the funds within the account.
