Coastal Carolina Hockey Fundraiser

The Coastal Carolina Hockey team has just started its second season as an ice hockey program after beginning as a roller hockey team for three seasons. The players and their parents provide the majority of the team’s funds, with little financial aid from the university. The team’s budget exceeds $30,000 for the season, including transportation to rinks as far as Alabama and Virginia, hotel expenses, team equipment, and ice fees, among numerous other costs.

The team has been experiencing some difficult times over the past couple of weeks. Two players equipment, sticks and jerseys were stolen from campus and have not been returned or found. To replace the equipment the team had to spend about $5,000.

The gentlemen of CCU Hockey are looking for a little extra financial assistance this season to accomplish their goal of winning the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference. Any donation is greatly appreciated by the team. Also, any donor who gives $50 or more will receive a complimentary CCU Hockey t-shirt as a token of appreciation from the team.
