Mavericks Surgery

During the snow storm over the weekend Maverick was hit by a truck, who afterwards drove off. Maverick is in really bad shape and will need surgery. Maverick means the world to me, but unfortunately I don't all the money needed to cover the surgery. So this year for Christmas I don't need anything, just for Mav to be okay. The vet told us that his hip is dislocated and his bone is broken. He is on pain medication so he’s been doing good, but he does not put any weight on his left back leg, but gets around (even up and down stairs) now. The vet estimated the cost of the surgery to be about $3,000 to $4,000, and also informed us that amputation would be around $1,000. We are still not sure what to do but we have to do it fast. We are hoping to find a surgeon who can preform the surgery for less than our primary veterinary clinic.
