Making The Move

My name is Antonio "Tony" Russell. I was redeemed by Christ at age six at which time I was also called to Shepherd the flock of God. All my life I have desired to be a Pastor except for the ages of 17-20 when I went wayward and misrepresented Christ in any and every way to my shame. But praise be to God for His radical pursuit, reckless love, unimaginable patience, and abounding mercy and grace. He restored me at age 20 and have been faithfully serving and seeking Him whole heartedly for the past 5 years of my life. During these five years He has pruned and purified me in many ways. He has allowed me to graduate Liberty University with a pastoral degree. He has allowed me to do multiple week long trips to meet and learn from Church plantors in places such as; Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and New York. New York and it's people have my heart and I have been serving this city consistly for four years working along side two amazing pastors, Ron Taylor and Edwin Pacheco.  God has called me to move there this year within the next 6-8 months and work along side Pastor Ed in Brooklyn, NY. I am currently in the process of officially being a "church plant team member" through the organization North American Mission Board. They have asked me to raise roughly 40k before the move, I will have an account with them in which all the proceeds will go to supporting me. However at this time We are still trying to get rough estimates of people who are willing to give on a regular basis. This campaign is to get the ball rolling and answer the call of God on my life. I cannot do this without the financial support and prayers of the body of Christ. I daily seek the Lord and aim to glorify Him in every way. Through this opportunity I will be able to do just that as I help officially launch Redemption Church along side pastor Ed and have a more hands on approach to Church planting with a future goal of planting my own.
