Get Keeton to the beach

Our 13 year old daughter Keeton has a rare gentic disorder called GM1 Gangliosidosis. There are currently no treatments or cures for this disorder. This disorder is terminal and gives her a short life span (late teens). We have already lost speech, motor skills and most mobility. She spends most of her time in a wheel chair that is propelled by us. We continue to lose more skills daily and time is very special to us with her. Our goal is to give her the best life possible with the time she has. Keeton's favorite thing to do is go to the beach !! She loves the water, the sand and seems most at ease when we take her. This summer we took her to Seaside,OR and had a very difficult time getting her down to the beach in her wheel chair. It exhausted myself and husband but we know how much she loves it so we struggled through it. One day we were walking to the beach and discovered at the bike rental shop they had a beach wheel chair with balloon tires!! It was the most awesome find!! We were able to get her to the beach with ease and even let her dangle her feet in the water!! She loved it and we got the biggest smiles we have ever seen. We checked the prices for chairs when we returned home and found they were way beyond anything we could afford. We would like to see if we could raise enough to get her the chair and accessories so we can take her to the places she loves. Please help us Get Keeton To The Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!
