Hope for Rosie

June 30th 2018...I almost lost my best friend Rosie Psarakis (aka. Spanic) from Malignant Pleural effusion...build up of fluid in the lungs..only to find out later on it was her body fighting lung cancer.  Rosie and family were given the worst news possible...she is diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized and it's incurable.  The prognosis were very heart breaking...she was given 6 months to no more than a year life expectancy.  She is currently on palliative care and is breathing with an oxygen tank.  2 weeks ago..the oncologist provided us with some hope.  She has egfr mutation...and there is a pill that might prolong her life..its called getfitinib...the expense of this pill is $3,000 a month..we are not even sure that Greenshield insurance can cover the expenses..family has to pay with only one income.  I'm reaching out to everyone who knows the beautiful soul that Rosie is...how she was always the first to help everyone...now it's all our turn to return the favour..to help her family with all the added expenses and just to give her a sense of peace and security...lets show how much we love our Rosie...open up your hearts and donate ...and please pray for Rosie...you can contact Mary Borreggine and Irene Psarakis
