Black mold is making me very sick.

Hey Everyone, I'm Matthew. I'm a 27 year old guy married to the love of my life and I'm deaf. I have a good heart, I love God, my parents, my spouse and my friends. I'm totally deaf on my left side and have 80% hearing loss on my right. I strive to become a success story and to overcome my disability on a daily basis.

A month ago I started breaking out into severe hives. It came out of nowhere and became progressively worse. I have even been Rushed to the E.R three times now. The last time my throat closed up and I barely made it there. I went to my doctor and had an allergy test. It took over 3 weeks to come back to me and when it did it told me I was allergic to dogs, cats, and mold.

We don't have any animals in our apartment nor are we around any animals. We figured it had to be mold. At first we couldn't figure out where the mold could be. I am a clean, neat, and tidy kind of guy and my home shows that. I grabbed a flashlight and looked in the room where our water heater and our air return vent is. Right behind where our hot water heater is, was a huge amount of black mold. The hot water heater was very slowly dripping causing moisture and it developed into black mold. Even worse our air return is in the same room.

We figured out that every time we turn on the air conditioner it was allowing some spores that didn't get caught by the filter and distributing them around our home. Every time I turn on the air I have a severe allergic reaction. I immediately knew we had to get out of our home. Luckily our good friend is letting us crash on an air mattress for the time being. I called our Landlord and they have been a hassle from the beginning. They don't want to do any of the work or pay to have anything fixed. After pulling teeth we've managed to get them to remove the sheetrock and remove the mold but they don't want to pay to clean our air ducts, put new carpet in, or even have the unit professionally cleaned, I've mentioned having to throw away a good bit of our stuff because the mold spores are on everything and to them they aren't going to help me replace anything. Even though it is their fault. I am under so much stress and just want to be back at home.

I need help raising the money to find an attorney and put them on retainer. I need help buying new furniture for my home. I might even have to replace the carpet in my apartment and have the ducts cleaned because they keep giving me the run around. I am so stressed and tired. I'm scared to go home and possibly get sick again. I've spent so much already on ER visits, medicines, co pays, etc. It's the holidays and I'm not even sure if I will be able to buy my loved ones Christmas presents and that makes me so sad. I don't know how I am going to be able to do all of this. I do know that I'm desperate for help. I just want to be well again. I want to have my home back. I want things to be normal again. So I'm begging y'all for some help. Please from the bottom of my heart help me.
