Eye surgery needed for rare disease

We have an update to Coles progress... 
We've received a large anonymous donation outside of GoFundMe ( $5000) So Coles crosslinking procedure on his left eye can begin ( Thank God) I'm lowering the amount needed to get the same procedure done on his right eye but that eyes disease progress is much slower than the left eye, however it still needs the crosslinking procedure. The new amount needed is $5000 for the right eye. Thanks and God bless everyone who's donated.

I'm fundraising for my son Cole who was diagnosed with a rare form of Astigmatism called Keratoconus. This disease progresses rapidly and it misshapes the Cornea of the eye and if not corrected by cornea replacement Cole's vision will be severely impaired. His vision has already deteriorated to where he can't drive at night. Cole's Opthalmologist says he needs surgery to replace the Cornea in his left eye and then a second procedure called Cross-Linking to stop the disease's progress, eventually both corneas will have to be replaced. Medicaid has told Cole And his wife McKenna that they would pay for the main Cornea replacement for each eye but not for the final cross linking procedure. Cole is his wife McKenna's FULL TIME caretaker who has Cerebral Palsy, and she's in an electric wheelchair most of the time. Cole gets a small government stipend but that's not nowhere near enough to pay for this surgery. Cole is also autistic and has Asperger's or high functioning autism but met his wife McKenna at college where he received his 4 year Degree. Each eyes cross-Linking will be about $6,000.
