Tonawanda Grandmother needs help!

My close friend Pam and her family have been a part of my life since High school. She is a single mom who moved in with her own mom, Chris, when her son was two. In May of this year, Pam’s mother Chris came down with Pneumonia. When her illness would not respond to medication, she was sent for testing. On June 26th she was diagnosed with Extensive Small Cell lung cancer. Due to the high cost of treatments, they are not able to keep up. They need your help to keep the treatments going and to fight this battle!
After a ten day hospital stay for Pneumonia, Chris was allowed to go home, but has been undergoing extensive Radiation & Chemo treatments since then. As you can imagine, the bills are pouring in and piling up. Since the economic downturn, the family has been struggling to keep the household going, but now more than ever, they need a helping hand. Pam has been working two jobs since her own bout with Breast & Cervical cancer in 2010. Pam made the difficult decision not to work a second job while her mother is ill because she is worried about leaving her home alone every evening. The family needs help with both the very high medical expenses and keeping up with every day household expenses until Pam can return to working a second job. Chris and Pam have exhausted their resources for handling all the expenses themselves. In a desperate measure this year, Chris used most of her life insurance policy to pay the taxes on the family home!
