If you have ever wondered what the human soul crying out for action looks like, it looks like footsteps running through the bitter cold WI Snow. If you have ever wondered what it sounds like, it sounds like labored breath from running in below zero temperatures but being grateful for every cold breath you take, this is the journey that Ramiah Whiteside & Kevin Cook will embark on starting Monday, February 8th as they set out to run from Milwaukee to Madison to raise awareness of the devastating effects of COVID in our WI prisons.
More than half of the men & women in the WI Prison System have been infected with COVID 19, more than 25 people have died yet the WI legislature and Governor have done little to save these lives. Ramiah & Kevin have come to know the plight of these individuals having each served a sentence of more than 20 years themselves. They have many friends who remain at risk of illness or death due to COVID & they cannot sit idly by as more people languish & perish in the WI prison system due to COVID 19.
Ramiah & Kevin will run from Milwaukee to Madison (20 miles per day) arriving at the Capitol in Madison on Friday, Feb. 12th at 10 a.m. Please consider a financial contribution to help cover the cost of their run (equipment, supplies, lodging, meals, gas, etc.)
For donations of $15 - $29 you will receive a Run Tshirt. Donations of $30+ will receive a Run Hoodie so please included your shirt size with your donation. Every donation helps us run a mile more hopefully raising awareness & bringing hope to our incarcerated brothers & sisters.
