Experimac Franchise Investigation & Report will detail the challenges and issues Experimac owners are battling for survival, and what UFG is doing to address its crisis. The Experimac Franchise Investigation & Report will uncover & document the factors that are threatening the well-being of those who seek to own their own businesses - and provide next steps for averting the crisis.
Experimac is a franchise opportunity aggressively promoted by multi-concept franchisor United Franchise Group (UFG). UFG persuades prospective franchisees to invest $150K - $325K to open their Experimac store. Many franchisees risk their life savings, homes, 401Ks and family’s financial futures based on representations made by the highly experienced UFG and Experimac sales machine.
The company website lists 96 currently operating Experimac locations. However, we’ve identified more than 50 franchises that have closed or had ownership reassigned. SBA loan defaults and Experimac-related bankruptcies are on the rise. With franchisees who closed stores report losses averaging $200,000 - $300,000, the financial toll has reached a potential $10M-$20M… and climbing.
· What accounts for the high estimated turnover rate (35%) of Experimac franchisees?
· What factors do current & former Experimac franchise owners cite for the rising store closures?
· Are the franchise marketing and sales claims made to prospective Experimac franchise owners honest & accurate?
· Is the Experimac retail concept functioning as presented by Experimac & its senior management?
· Are outside funding providers (Benetrends, First Financial, Celtic Bank) playing a role in the distressing number of failures?
· What is the financial and personal damage being caused by the rising Experimac failures... not only for franchisees, but the American taxpayer?
Your contribution will enable UnhappyFranchisee.Com to dig deep into these topics and more. At each $500 threshhold, we will publish an article and supportive documents on a critical research finding.
After the $2500 threshold is reached, we will publish two reports: the basic overview of our findings for Contributor-level ($25-$249) donors, and a more extensive report with action steps for Supporter-level ($250+) donors. We anticipate reports to run in the 25 pp. – 50 pp. range.
We have published three Experimac articles (posts) so far. Our proposed publishing schedule will be as follows:
