Expenses from leg amputation

Hi everyone, we are a group of friends and co-workers who want to raise money for our friend Mark.  Mark has had to have numerous operations for a foot defect he has had from birth.  Basically he was born with his foot twisted causing him to have to walk on the side/top of his foot his whole life.  It has now come to the point where the best path forward to alleviate the constant pain he has lived with is to amputate his leg just below the knee with the operation happening in the next 6-10 months.  He will be unable to work for an extended period of time (12-18 months) so we want to raise money for him to cover expenses related to medical and the bills of life.  After him and his wife Irene have gone through several years of costly fertility treatments and she is now working two jobs to try and save money to support them through this situation. Mark has one of the best attitudes we have seen and is always quick to compliment someone and brighten their day.  We would love to be able to help them through this stage of their life.  He has no idea we are doing this and we want to surprise him with this gift near the time of the operation.   We appreciate any amount you feel moved to contribute towards him.  Thank you all in advance for your generosity!
