Expanding our facilities
County Roads Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue based in Jacksonville, Texas. We have been in operation since May of 2016 and have rescued over 500 animals. We are focused mainly on the strays in Cherokee County.
In May of 2019 we purchased a facility, that was
previously an animal shelter, so it was already set
up to appropriately hold animals. However, we discovered we owned more land than what is already fenced in, which was fantastic news!
We've already had some of the land cleared but now need the last few trees cut down, stumps cleared and an old fence removed so that we can move a new building into the area. This new building will be a larger cat area, that will include an outdoor
catery space. We will need to raise enough for the down payment on the building, the clearing costs, and materials for the catery. In the future we will
need to fence everything in as well. Any amount
donated is greatly appreciated!
Expanding and reopening our cat program is our main goal for the year and we’d be able to do so much more for the cats in our community with this new building!
