Expand the Arts in Local Communities!!!

By employing artists and community members, we hope to provide access earning a living wage in the arts a reality for producers in those local communities. We employ artists.

We produce, market, and ship high value handmade arts and crafts for retail and wholesale markets, domestic and international. We engage in distribution of art, craft, and ag material for other handmade producers in the United States. We provide access to tools and land necessary to grow organic produce for local communities while fighting climate change. With 1 billion dollars we would like to train 100000 artists, farmers, and entrepreneurs to help save, sustain, and grow exponentially the ability to create for a living wage!

Below are some of the things that we work on each year and will be continually adding to our plate.

Thanks for what you are doing! I want to introduce myself. My name is Patrick Trujillo. 

In a nutshell, we are working on agricultural restoration, focusing on soil hydrology, micro biota, organic wildlife ecosystem regeneration, watershed management, silvopature hardwood forestry, mycology, and permaculture Agroforestry. All of this provides 4 unique opportunities for both research and capital markets. These would be primarily sustainable agroforestry and soil health educational services, production of nutrient dense organic foods (animal, plant, or fungus) and medicine for the local community using only natural precipitation and ponds, integration of state of the art technologies for minimal soil disturbance and maximum water retention (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and microbial), and research climate specific strategies in the realm of large scale carbon sequestration. I know this is a lot to be on my plate, but I believe nature will do most of the work. I just need to be a proper steward. With any luck and unending hard work, I'm hoping my partners at usda, ncrs, and the fsa will be supportive in this experiment and I will begin to purchase adjoining plots. In the last 2 years that we have owned it, and the little I was able to do there while running HomeMade we have already seen an explosion of wildlife, plant health, and water retention. This year we are making several large capital investments and really focus on the record keeping of the research data, so as to set up a good baseline. Our small farm is in edgewood new mexico. We are working on a permaculture food forest. The following is some of the agricultural, forestry, solar, building, and watershed projects/ soil hydrology that you can help us make a reality. This includes

Pond creation, flood control, erosion control, wildlife watershed, water table revitalization, solar irrigation, soil biology fortification, wildlife habitat, indigenous agricultural terraces, fish ponds, water catchment, and reforestation. Additionally, we will be harvesting the raw materials from the land to create several important heritage arts through our working artist program.

I hope to do this so that I will not need any underground wells or delivery of water.  Once and during initial establishment, I will be producing about 2-5 acres of Sunflower, artichoke, green chile, jalapeños, garlic, lima bean, pinto bean, pumpkin, seasonal flowers, native wildflowers, sweet potato, onion  and restaurant mushrooms ; as well as, slowly introducing combination of chicken, duck, quail, turkey, pig, mule, rabbit, cattle, sheep, buffalo, trout, work dogs & cats, birds, and honey bees. Additionally, we will be planting 10 varieties of native berries and fruit trees, native grasses, and native hardwoods for lumber and bonzai. Lastly, the end goal is to build up such soil health, soil hydrology, and temperature regulation to allow for growing high altitude camelia sinesis (tea).

I am hoping that with this research, we can get as much information as possible on the different steps necessary to become a beginning in the most cost effective and high information so that we can engagein active training and recruitment of local farmers. This will be the first year with a heavy upfront investment in seeds (1000 lbs) and thousands of plants, trees, and bushes. Also, we are hoping that we can raise the money for the equipment as well!

Our long term plan is to set up a sustainable ecosystem capable of producing agro forestry and farm products, several farm ponds fully self sustained, and education classes in S.T.E.A.M., sustainable Agroforestry, and farm ecosystems. I believe that this is the most efficient way to vastly increase carbon sequestration, revitalize and rehydrate the soil, create communities centered around a culture of learning and self sufficiency, restore natural wildlife habitats, and grow food on the local level.
