Expand access to ceramic arts education in Kansas City

KC Clay Guild has been awarded a $20,000 matching grant by the Muriel McBrien Kauffman Family Foundation.

KC Clay Guild is a 501(c)3 non-profit community focused ceramic arts center in Kansas City, MO. KCCG provides educational programming, opens studios, kiln services, gallery space, and an Artist in Residence program.

A year of community impact: 25% of programming is either discounted or provide at no cost to the community, nearly 2,000 $5 Family Fun Night passes were purchased, 100,000 pounds of clay used, 650 members served, 3200 hours of open studio used, and around 3000 individuals served.

KC Clay Guild has outgrown its current studio building. In an effort to better serve our community and fulfill our mission, KCCG is in the process of raising funds to purchase a larger building along with renovating and outfitting the space. This new building will allow KCCG to expand education programming (especially low and no cost programs), provide more affordable rental shelves and studios, establish dedicated open studios, hire new employees, and offer more low and no cost programming for the community.

KC Clay Guild has raised $204,000 of the $1,000,000 goal. The additional $40,000 raised through MMKFF and with your help will move KC Clay guild towards its goal.

All funds raised will directly impact the expansion of access to ceramic arts programming that affects not only the Kansas City area, but through the Artist in Residence, gallery programs, and employment opportunities the field of ceramic art internationally.
