Russell's Reunion Roadtrip

Russell had been working toward a degree for teaching at risk and special needs children when just short of graduation, in May of 2014, Russell and his family received devastating news. After a mole biopsy revealed he had melanoma they discovered it had metastasized into his lymph nodes. The doctor's have since removed 29 cancerous lymph nodes and part of his larynx. In order to meet with his doctors and receive the treatment he needs his family has to drive 12 hours round trip to Portland. Sometimes that is just for a 15 minute appointment. Prior to beginning his radiation treatments Russell will need to have his teeth removed due to nerve damage caused by his cancer that can cause complications with treatment. Most recently they have discovered that his cancer has spread into his bones. We pray every day, that with treatment, this cycle can be broken. He is a fighter and has plans to still graduate when the miracle of “no sign of disease” happens.

Right now Russell's main focus is getting healthy and spending his precious time with his wife and one miracle son. They have always wanted to drive across country to Oklahoma where Russell's family resides. This is where you can help. We are kindly asking for donations to help get Russell, his wife Rachel and 11 year old son to Oklahoma.
