The Richmond High School music department has a long tradition of excellence with more than 200 exceptional students participating yearly in Marching Band, Concert Band, Drum Line, Steel Drums, Orchestra, Choir, and Devilettes. The hard work and dedication of our students are what makes the music department so successful.The time commitment required of these students is unparalleled to any other high school extracurricular activity. Music students are disciplined, respectful, committed to excellence, problem-solvers, and team members which are leading indicators of future success. These students are our community’s future. Their time as members of this high-achieving organization provides leadership and performance opportunities that prepare them to be the kind of motivated leaders we need at a time when creative thought, work-ethic and commitment to a high standard of performance are critical for success in Richmond and the global market. We are reaching out to you, our community, for financial support. Your generous sponsorship dollars will be used to cover the cost of . . . summer marching band show expenses, bus transportation, uniforms, instruments and repair costs, scholarships, contest entrance fees, auxiliary equipment, technical support, and Music Booster truck and transporter maintenance.
