Please help us to rebuild my parents' home

Hi everyone!

 

My name is Natalie and I’m starting this gofundme page on behalf of my parents and without their knowledge. My parents have worked incredibly hard their entire lives to give me and my five siblings a better life and things have not been easy. They have always done their best for us and are the kindest people you could meet. They truly are magnificent people and anyone who knows them, knows that.

 

I guess it’s an Irish thing to feel embarrassed or ashamed to do something like this and I feel that sense stirring up inside as I write this. But recently my parents finally got a break, they found a small piece of land in a rural place which they could afford with some help. So they got a simple, affordable mobile home, meant to be temporary while they save to start building. They were so happy and grateful, until today when my father rang me, asking for help because the roof literally blew off the house in a storm and everything was destroyed. You see this beautiful spot of land they live on, is up a mountain and this morning the wind was so high that it blew the roof off with my mother inside. Thank God no one was hurt, but everything they have worked and all their memories are destroyed and they are shaken.

 

All anyone wants is for their family to be safe and happy. I’m just like anyone else, I want the same for my parents and I hope you can help us. I really wanted to start this fundraiser to help them get back on their feet, find a home and to make new memories.
