Save a Veteran's Everything!

UPDATE: Despite being short of our goal, we did retrieve our belongings. Many thanks to all who helped, via prayer or donation. The campaign will remain open to try and reach the goal to help us get on our feet after some unforseen circumstances resulting while relocating our things. Please keeps us in your prayers as we also lost a family member during this time. Again, I cannot thank you all enough! ****Two and half years ago my family faced a dramatic turn of events! As a military family, we were enjoying living in different places and trying to grow our family. After 12 years of being together, we got pregnant with our daughter, our little miracle.  One month into the pregnancy, we found out that they were force shaping my husband's job and he didn't make the cut. We appealed the decision but we were denied. He was let go from the Air Force 1.5 years shy of being eligible to receive benefits for retirement. We were then faced with the reality that we would be 3 months into a pregnancy, jobless and homeless.  We packed up and said goodbye to Germany and headed back to the states. Everything we owned was packed, shipped and stored in a commercial private storage facility. The military took care of the bill for 180 days. That time came quickly. With the local economy, jobs were not easy to come by. So after the military stopped paying the bill, we couldn't afford it. We payed what we could after my husband starting working and worked out a deal to keep them from auctioning off everything we own, especially the memories like my son's baby pictures and wedding photos and an oil painting of my husband and I by an up and coming artist. Things you can't replace. Now they have gone back on their deal. We can't even get access to our things to try and search for the important things we need, family files, keepsakes and photos. We need help because in 17 days (Oct 25) everything will be put in public auction. Someone's going to be sifting through all of our personal belongings, looking at the great deal they got on the furniture and tossing our pictures and keepsakes in the garbage.
