Everett Guinn's Heart Surgery

Everett Reed, my baby nephew,  was born on July 12th 2017, and exactly one week later we found out that he has a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). This heart condition comes with the necessity of at least one open heart surgery, but in baby Everett's case, he will be having at least two. Although the doctors really wanted to wait until he was around four months old, they have decided that it would be beneficial to have his first surgery after two months of age. The day after Labor Day my brother and his wife will be travelling to Vanderbilt for Everett's first open heart surgery. While the thought of his tiny body being cut open is devastating enough, the financial burdens are overwhelming.

Vanderbilt is about a 6hr drive from here meaning they will have to be able to provide food, gas, and a place to stay for at least 10 to 14 days. Not only will these funds benefit everyday expenses, but they will also go towards monthly bills at home and to help take care of their 16month old son Cole, as Matthew (my brother) will be unable to work during that time. I know the "goal amount" is pretty high, but any amount of help is tremendously appreciated.
