Evelyn Seizure Response Dog

Evelyn is an 8 year old girl with severe extensive cerebral palsy, epilepsy, electrical status epilepticus during sleep and a battery of other medical concerns. 

Evelyn has two forms of epilepsy, one of which puts her at a higher risk of a seizure at night when she is sleeping which puts her at a higher risk of SUDEP, sudden unexpected death due to epilepsy. The parents have exhausted all medical and prescription drug related options to help Evelyn with seizures as well as all technological options and none have been successful in detecting seizures for Evelyn. Doctors think her only remaining option for detecting seizures to help save her life is a seizure response dog. After spending years trying to find a company that would provide a dog to a child with her level of disability, the family has finally contracted with a seizure response dog training company, however the training is quite expensive and the parents aren’t sure how to make ends meet. Any assistance to get the dog for Evelyn could make a huge difference for the family and make it possible for them to be able to afford the training.
