Evelyn and Aerilynn's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Evelyn was induced on April 22 and was so over the moon to get to meet her daughter Aerilynn. But on April 23, Evelyn's world changed and this tragic event has really left us asking WHY?
Her labor was going great until all of a sudden the baby's heart rate dropped. The happy atmosphere of excitement between all of us, suddenly got very scary with a room filled with more doctors, nurses, and NICU staff then I could fathom. The intense urgency for Evelyn to push the baby out made things get so serious so quick.
Aerilynn was born at 6:36am and was not breathing. Madyson and I watched on the sidelines as the NICU staff worked on that sweet baby for seemed to be an eternity.
In the meantime, we tried to keep a focus on our courageous Evelyn who before our eyes started to go gray. Then out of no where her lips turned blue, eyes were rolled to the back of her head, and blood pressure dropped. There was so much blood as my child drifted in and out of consciousness. I just kept praying for God to intervene.  I was so scared I was losing them both. I couldn't believe what was happening.
God did intervene and Aerilynn began to breathe and was rushed to the NICU where she is cared for 24/7. Our sweet baby has really surpassed a horrific entry into this world. She will need ongoing care but her prognosis looks amazing. Her stay in the NICU is undetermined at this time but we are expecting another 2 weeks.
Evelyn has spent a week in the ICU and received 22 blood transfusions. Her healthy young body has been through shock and is slowly recovering. Currently, we are praying for complete healing of her kidneys.
Evelyn has been released from ICU but also needs extended time to recover from this unexpected nightmare.
So many people have asked what can I do? How can I help? Of course, my first response is prayer. We have seen it work in the obstacles both with Aerilynn and Evelyn have endured so far. But they are fighters and we know that God is hearing all your prayers.
We also need help financially. I hate to ask for help. But, in order for me to take care of both of them, I need to take FMLA. I have spent every night at Evelyn's side and will continue until she is able to come home. Unfortunately, I have burned through my PTO and do not have a back up plan in case of emergency.
I am asking for help with donations towards the household expenses. With no income, it makes things very stressful and scary in a whole different way. Also, we understand if you cannot donate. If you would like to help in another way .... my mom doesn't cook so a meal dropped off or a visit is also appreciated.
Thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes.  We are getting there and it is becauae of your support and love
