Eva’s Angel Jersey

Donation protected
Eva age 9,  was recently diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. My sister discovered it after Eva being in chronic pain she burned herself on a stove element and had not even noticed due to the extent of pain that she always experiences.

Ashley's pespective:
Jersey will be a support to Eva. Jersey will brace Eva when she gets up, help her out of bed give her med reminders. She will give Eva the independence to play on the playground without the embarassment of having her Momt hover and assist.   Eva is excited to have a service dog.  It is a challenge for Eva to  wear leg braces and she dislikes taking her meds or doing anything that makes her different. She asked me it there was a surgery to take away EDS.   There is no cure for Ehlers Danlos.
Jersey can  get help when needed if Eva falls and dislocates a joint. Jersey will be able to open doors shut off lights and go to school with Eva.

Most of all Eva won't be alone she has someone who loves her and never asks why she is different and has zero judgements.  Jersey will never ask why Eva  walks funny or wonder why she struggles to tie her shoes or ride a bike.  Jesery will be her unconditional support.

Ashley and her boyfriend have paid over half of towards Jersey's service dog training.  It is a financial strain as Ashley can only work part time and there are 4 little girls to take care of.  Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

"Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is characterized by unusually flexible joints and excessively stretchy and delicate skin. It is a hereditary connective tissue disorder with six distinct subtypes and rare variants.

Each subclass has a unique host of problems, but they all modify the structure of collagen in various parts of the body. Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos is the most common, but all types equally affect females and males of all ethnicities. EDS cannot be prevented or cured.

Some of Eva's symptome include:
Frequent dislocations of small and large joints
Joint hypermobility
Easy bruising
Unusually soft and smooth skin and/or usually stretchy skin
Chronic pain
Muscle spasms
Neuropathy
Degenerative arthritis
Acid Reflux
Chronic Constipation
Difficulty keep weight on
