Evacuate Walaa and her family from Gaza

My name is Dina and I am raising money to help my long time childhood and school friend Walaa and her family escape the war in Gaza. Her family has suffered a great tragedy only a few days ago where her brother was killed in front of her in their living room. Walaa is currently living with her mum, dad, two sisters, sister-in-law and her children. Her brother Raed, his wife and kids had planned to escape Gaza and the day he was killed in their home, their names were listed to exit into Rafah. Unfortunately, Raed did not make it as they were trapped in their home.

Walaa and her family have experienced unimaginable pain and suffering. As I write this, I remember my best friend when she talks to me and she is not the same anymore. The trauma of watching her brother die in front of her has scarred her for life. Her sister-in-law is now widowed and will have to raise their kids on her own.

Walaa's sister, Rama, has had her hearing damaged and urgently needs a hearing implant which has been organised for her in Egypt however she will need to get out of Gaza soon to be able to have it installed.

My best friend Walaa had many dreams, hopes and aspirations which have been shattered through this war. Her family's business used to manufacture dishwashing liquid and their factory has also been destroyed. They have lost everything including their home and now her older brother.

Unfortunately, there is no life left for them there and they are planning to leave Gaza urgently to rebuild their lives elsewhere.

We will use the funds to assist them to leave the Gaza strip, and offer them a decent life, especially after months of suffering and struggling in this extreme and inhumane situation.
