Time is Running Out for the Esleem Family, PLEASE HELP

Donazione protetta
TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO SAVE THIS FAMILY IN GAZA.

THE OCCUPATION FORCES ARE ON THE EASTERN EDGE
OF RAFAH AND ARE STARTING THEIR LAND INVASION IMMINENTLY.

There is nowhere safe to evacuate to, and over 600,000 children sheltering in Rafah. We are humbly asking you to give what you can to help this Palestinian family raise funds to evacuate to safety.

Can you imagine having a bomb dropped on your house while you sleep, and your uncle, aunt, and cousins all killed or trapped under the rubble? Can you imagine having to flee your home with nothing but the clothes on your back, with your children and narrowly escaping death? Can you imagine your family being split up in the scatter to leave? So, as you run with your mother and siblings, your father stays behind to care for his elderly mother. This family has lost everything, including family members.

They cannot remember how many times they have moved since the bombardment started. The Esleem family consists of seven people, a mother and a father with five children. They come from the Al Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

My name is Carly Berube and I am personal friends with the Esleem family. The mother is Manal, the father is Hassan, one daughter named Esraa (21 yrs old), one daughter named Wafaa (19 yrs old), a son named Anas (16 yrs old), another son named Saed (14 yrs old), and a daughter named Anna Leen (9 years old).

Her father, Hassan, is still in the north because he stayed with his elderly parents when the bombardment started. They have lost everything to the Israeli bombs, funded by our tax dollars. People who had jobs and lives, were all destroyed in an instant. Any money that they had in the banks, it is all gone. All banks in the north have been bombed and the money has been stolen by the IOF. Everything that they have worked for in their lives, is all gone.

Currently, they are surviving in Rafah, not in a tent, but in a closed structure. Food is all canned and overpriced, and they have no items from their lives before.

At this point, this family is hoping to evacuate from Gaza, as life in the Gaza Strip has become unbearable.

To evacuate from Gaza, Palestinians must bribe Egyptian officials to cross the Rafah border, and costs on average, around $5000 per person. For this reason, our goal is $35,000 (7 people). If we do not reach that goal then the money will be given to her family to rebuild their lives. I have been in contact with a trusted human in Gaza who will be able to get the money to the family.

The people of Gaza have endured unimaginable horrors and yet, it is still ongoing Can you imagine being in their shoes? If you can find it in your hearts to give whatever you can to help them get out of Gaza to safety, please know that they are so grateful.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS:

  • Daughter Esraa
"I am Esraa, 21 years old, in the final year of my university studies majoring in multimedia and web development at the Islamic University of Gaza, but the war took my university, my work, and my dream. I got engaged on October 5th with my family gathering. But the war took my joy and that of my family, and I was displaced to southern Gaza, and my fiancé, Yousef, remains in northern Gaza. I hope to be reunited with him soon."

  • Daughter Wafaa
"I am Wafaa. I will be 19 years old in June. I finished high school with a grade of 87% and registered for a first-year university, but I have not gone for two weeks yet. I have not studied anything currently."

  • Son Anas
I am Anas, 16 years old and in 10th grade.
"I was studying in my school very hard and diligently, but all my dreams ended because of this war."

  • Son Saad
I am Saad, 14 years old and in 8th grade.
"My dream was to become a surgeon. I was learning and studying well, but the war took away everything I dreamed of."

  • Daughter Anna Leen
I am Leen, 9 years old. I love my father
very much, but unfortunately, I have not had my father’s hug for 7 months. I love my friends, my school, and my teachers, but the war took everything beautiful in my life from the beginning of my life.
