Hello Family and Friends!
This time I am not traveling outwards, but going inwards!
This coming January I am going to begin a new adventure, but this time I am not traveling outwards, but going inwards. I am going to participate in the YogaWorks Teacher Training. This is a five month course that will help me to deepen and expand my own personal yoga practice and also give me the tools and qualifications to teach others.
This has been a dream of mine for some time now and I am now ready to take the leap and commit.
I have been practicing yoga regularly for the past three years, but have been on and off the mat since I was a teenager. Ever since I began working for YogaWorks in the fall of 2013, I knew that I wanted to become a yoga teacher, that I wanted to be honest with myself in my personal practice, and that I wanted to be someone who could inspire others to get on the mat, forget about the outside world and connect with oneself.
Since beginning my practice, I have encountered many beautiful studios, but it wasn't until I arrived at YogaWorks, that I felt at home. I felt I had arrived at the place in which I could take myself to the next level: becoming a teacher myself.
I have struggled with body image for all of my adult life, but when I first decided to commit to yoga and I was able to see that I could change the way I looked and also the way I felt about my physical self. I knew it would be important for me to share that with others.
I want to be a yoga teacher so I can help others let go of their fear, to embrace their body, mind, and soul; to empower themselves! I really believe that engaging your body and mind in a yoga practice can change your daily life. I know it has changed mine.
Not only do I know how to accept myself, I have the courage to face myself honestly and to change. Yoga has taught me that I no longer need to fight the present moment, but can instead embrace myself and the present. For me, this full presence is a beautiful reminder of the adventure that life is. As a yoga teacher I want to invite other people into a space where they can expereince life as this blissful and joyful adventure. A quote that comes to mind is: The past is history, the future is a mystery, but this moment is a gift, and thats why we call it the present.
The training itself costs $3,300 if I sign up before Novemeber 10th, so the money raise will go compeltely towards the tuition of the program.
If 100 people donate $30 I can make this dream a reality!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, all my love and gratitude!
