Support our work for EU citizens in Scotland

Tax deductible
Over the last few years, we have assisted thousands of EU citizens in Scotland to secure the ‘settled status’ which allows them to continue to live in the UK

Many thousands of EU citizens are still applying for this status, but now need to prove to the Home Office that they have ‘reasonable grounds’ to remain in the UK – even if they have lived in the UK for many decades. And there are is a backlog of many thousands who have already applied, but have not yet reached a decision. Some are being refused settled status.

We continue to support and advise many of these applicants to make applications, to chase up delays or sort out problems, and to ask the Home Office to review refusals.

As well as that, we collect information and research into the extent of these problems, so we can advocate for changes to the system. This includes the need for EU citizens to be given proof of settled status.

We also provide EU and other European citizens with advice, information, and support on citizens' rights more generally.

So our important work goes on, and we need your support to help us do that.

We have received grants to fund our work supporting EU citizens in Scotland, but they don’t cover all the costs of what we do. So please do donate to this new crowdfunder to let us do that: it’s a practical way you can show your support for the 250,000 EU citizens in Scotland.

We need your donation:

To help us give a voice to EU citizens in Scotland. Getting ‘settled status’ is important: but we also want to make sure that governments, both central and local, know from EU citizens their experience of the system, and and make sure that their other needs and concerns are brought to the attention of local and central government. We need more funding to do this - your donation for that would really help.

To ensure EU citizens get the rights they are entitled to, in areas like housing, employment, and access to public services. We have set up a ‘Rights service’, to provide advice to EU citizens.  We have some funding for this, but it doesn’t cover all the costs.

To cover the cost of some of our overheads, particularly our office rent and electricity. Only part of that is paid for by the grants we received: we have to raise most of the funds ourselves. It is vital we raise the cash to pay for this.

Please make a donation today.
