Final expenses for Thomas Wolfe
The sudden tragedy on Friday, October 20th left us all stunned and shaken. The call to his mother that her son was gone. The phone call I got, that the man I was with for 14 years, the man who fathered 4 of the most amazing children was gone. How to tell his four beautiful children that they would never see their father again? These things seemed beyond ability, yet were
done.
Shock turned to sadness, memories of good times weighed heavily on everyones hearts. Tears,
fears, questions without answers. These things we thought were the worst.
Some of life journeys are more difficult than others and choices can leave good friends and loved ones on the wayside. But I cannot believe in my heart of
hearts that anyone who has loved, or has been loved, or has fathered such beautiful and wonderful children should leave the family's life and this earth without some dignity. Some things are just too wrong for words.
Neither Tom's mother nor I have much extra money. I have been working to raise the kids
alone, and his mom on disability for years and not able to work. I have had to take time off of both my jobs to
be home with my kids during this hard time, and it unfortunately puts a strain on us financially. Tom wished to be cremated and we now have an idea about the cost this incurs.
If you are able to help in any way to alleviate some of this terrible burden and assist our
families in time of need, it would be greatly appreciated. Please, help us to bring closure for
his children and family. Help us to bring him home.
I ask that you keep the children and all his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they try to deal with these difficult life changes. With much love and gratitude.
