Fundraiser for The Tote casual bar staff

As you are all aware the COVID-19 pandemic is upon us, and currently the best thing we can do is wash our hands and distance ourselves from one another. While we are not yet in full lockdown the effect has already been drastic, and for good reason people are staying in and avoiding unnecessary contact. In the last week The Tote has suffered with this drop in patronage. While the business is looking at avenues to survive this event, our bar staff have been on the front line. This week their hours have been drastically cut, as have the shifts for door and sound staff. We know we aren't alone and everyone is feeling this loss, and staff are looking at their options with government assistance and alternative work. We are asking our community, our friends, our customers to help get or staff through his period of financial uncertainty. We don't need a lot and if you are in a position to give I would hope you would give any small amount you can spare to all the bars you value and enjoy. My name is Curtis Wakeling and I am the venue manager at the tote hotel I've organized this campaign on behalf of the casual staff that also work at the tote. the money will be divided amongst the 11 staff members who had shifts cut due to the lack of patronage as a result of social distancing. The money is intended to get them through this period between receiving government assistance. I will divide the total amount between the 11 members and transfer it to their bank accounts.
