For those of you who do not know me, my name is JJ and I am one of Ethan’s best friends. It is with great sadness that I am here today to celebrate the life of my friend. Ethan’s life was taken away from us too soon and it is hard to understand why tragic things like this happen to such good people. However, this is a question without an answer and we should not dwell on the loss of our dear friend, son and brother. Today let’s celebrate his life and remember all of the remarkable things Ethan has done for everyone and how wonderful his life was.
Ethan and I met nearly 11 years ago, It was rare that a day went by that we did not talk in one way or another. Ethan and I bonded instantly. He was always there when I needed a warm soul or a good laugh or someone to talk to. I will always look back with fond memories and appreciate getting to know Ethan so well.
Over the years, Ethan and I remained good friends. Ethan loved his family and friends and video games. Ethan was incredibly responsible, intelligent and caring. I knew that I could trust him with anything and I respected him more than words can say.
It is incredibly sad that Ethan's life ended so soon and I cannot put into words how much I will miss him. Ethan was a positive person and would not want us to be sad today. If he were here he would tell us to cheer up, smile and remember all of the great memories we all shared. Even though Ethan may be gone, his memory will live on in all of us forever. Ethan, I appreciate your friendship and will never forget you.
No parent should ever have to bury their child. The tragedy the Miller family has experienced, the heartache they have yet to endure, their hearts that will never be whole again has brought me to you, Ethan's friends, in asking for your help. Anything you're willing to give to help the Miller family with Ethan's funeral expenses would be so greatly appreciated by his family, his friends, and all that loved him.
