Continuing Bill's Legacy

Lowell Boys Club lost one of their own today.  Bill was there for countless children in his many years at the club.  Although, well known in Lowell, his works permeated well beyond the city limits.  He devoted his life to caring and mentoring other people’s children as if they were his own.  It’s now time take a page from Bill’s book and return the compassion he had for all children to his own children, especially his 14 year old son Jalen,  who all need us.  

My name is Rosanna Zingales-Lopez, a mom of a teammate of Jalen's. I, along with Marcia Chibuogwu, another mom, decided to start this fund.  We are both from Methuen and have known Bill for many years.  For those who do not know us, we are Bill's other family; his basketball family. Our boys played basketball with Jalen for many years. Jalen made very strong ties with this group and we felt compelled to support our brother.  Our goal is to assist with any and all expenses his family will be faced with.

Let’s rally together to help eliminate the financial burden we all know his family is facing. The burden exceeds traditional financial costs as Bill was the sole surviving parent to Jalen.  Funds exceeding funeral costs will be placed in a trust fund for Jalen. All funds are being sent directly to the Lowell Boys and Girls Club as they will be handling the account for Bill's family.
