Raise money for breast cancer awareness.

The start of Gemma’s journey.

As some of you may know my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago, today she started chemo and I want to help her through the foreseeable period as much as I can, however, helping her around the house doesn’t seem like enough. We’ve all been touched by cancer in own ways, unfortunately for some more than once and some not as lucky as others. I proposed to her that I want to raise money for cancer research and the amazing charity’s that have helped her and so many other, so far.

One of the main reasons I’ve promised to do this for her is to help raise awareness of the increasing numbers of young men and women within their thirty’s and forties that are led to believe this can’t and won’t affect them. It can affect anyone and I would urge everyone, of any age to regularly check their bodies.

Anyone that knows me knows I’m not the fittest and I love a burger and a pint, or ten. I haven’t prepared for this however I’m giving myself a month to get ready. Im going to be doing a 15km circuit, running 7.5km of it and riding the remaining 7.5km. Anyone that wants to do it with me is welcome I will announce in due time the route etc.

Youve probably heard it all before but if you could spare as little as £1 it would make all the difference with my mum knowing that we are all behind her. I could really do with everyone’s help.
