Life can change drastically from one day to the next. Our family didn't know how true that expression was until 9/11/2014.
My sister was involved in a life-altering accident.She was playing in a softball game, ( first base) and was hit in the face by a line drive. My sister was airlifted to a Trauma hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. She has suffered many acute injuries like, broken nose, facial fractures, and memory loss. The worse of her injuries left her completely blind in one eye.
We are eternally grateful she survived, and thank God every day for this gift. However, this injury has been very difficult for Bashana and our family.
Before the the accident Bashana, worked full time in retail and private nursing. She is also a dedicated and loving wife, daughter, sister, friend and awesome mother to her son.
Despite the improvement in health, her finances are strained more than ever.She now simply cannot meet the medical expenses for her treatment. Her insurance also does not cover the amount she needs.
I started this fundraiser so we can all pitch in and help alleviate the financial problems. We all know that she'd do it for us.
