While we have all been enjoying our holiday season and filling our hearts and bellies with warmth and love, one of our dear friends has been suffering health issues.
This individual goes out of his way to help others in our small car community finding parts and cars to purchase, and at times has even bought parts for others with no expectation of repayment. His heart is huge, yet apparently in need of medical attention.
You see, Jake Aywas suffered a near miss this week with a 90% blockage that could have easily taken him out. Luckily the doctors were able to identify the problem and put a stint in to keep him around a little longer. For those of you that have met Jake or had him assist you in finding hard to find parts for your cars you will totally understand what a great guy he is.
His lovely wife, Kim Aywas has spent the past few days with him in the hospital. Needless to say Jake will be off work for a little while recuperating. At least three weeks. He does construction and remodeling if you are not aware. Kim was rewarded with a pink slip for the time she took off to be with her husband. What a great gift her employer gave her, SMH. So now they will not have any health insurance soon.
I have said all of this for one reason only. I am reaching out to see if you still have a giving spirit in your heart this week. I believe Jake and Kim could use a little assistance during this difficult time and they are too proud to ask for it. Medical bills will start rolling in and it is the season after all. So let us all show some love, no matter the amount, to Jake and Kim to help them through this hurdle with a love offering. I know from personal experience that Jake would be the first one in line to donate to someone in need as I've witnessed it before. Let us all return the favor in whatever way you feel lead to do so.
